UV Index
The UV index on the main page is displayed in two digits. The first figure shows the UV index with clouds.
The second figure shows the UV index is expected with a blue sky.
UV index scale
The table of the UV index scales roughly indicates how long the skin of an average Dutch mid-day sun can tolerate. Who quickly sunburns, the time is shorter, who has a naturally dark skin has more time.
The set time indicates how many minutes according to KWF the unprotected skin has had so much UV that after 8 to 24 hours the skin turns red. That is the maximum for those who want sunbath smart.
